I am excited to share that I passed my driving test today. I wouldn’t be here, without my AMAZING instructor Basit. Prior to him, I had a few instructors and all of them made me feel very anxious behind the wheel and made me doubt my ability. I nearly gave up on driving forever. THANK GOD I then found Basit through Acorns School of Motoring, he absolutely helped me regain my confidence. Basit is an amazing instructor; very professional and safe, very passionate about his job, very understanding and patient but most importantly extremely competent in his work. As someone who struggles with anxiety, learning to drive felt overwhelming at times, but he was always very understanding and never made me feel pressured or rushed. What I appreciated the most was how he approached every challenge step by step. Whenever I felt unsure or lacked confidence, he took the time to go through things carefully, breaking down each obstacle until I felt comfortable and encouraged me to do better. He never hesitated to repeat lessons two or even three times if needed, just to make sure I fully understood and felt confident behind the wheel. No two lessons were ever the same and he made sure to have good, fun and entertaining conversations during the lessons, so that the lessons would not feel awkward and boring. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, and I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive especially those who may feel nervous or anxious about the process. I cannot recommend Acorn Driving School enough and Raja in particular deserves every bit of praise going! I'm absolutely over the moon to say that I passed my driving test on my very first attempt with ZERO minors, and I truly believe that is down to Raja's incredible teaching. From day one, he made me feel completely at ease, built my confidence step by step, and never once made me feel rushed or pressured. He has a real gift for explaining things clearly, breaking down even the trickiest manoeuvres, and knowing exactly what each learner needs to succeed. Unfortunately my experience was not very positive. During the lesson I felt that the communication style was discouraging and it affected my confidence while driving. As a learner driver, confidence and supportive guidance are very important. I hope future students receive clearer and more encouraging instruction.
